Helping 120+ Employees Show Up on LinkedIn with Confidence

This week, I had the pleasure of leading a LinkedIn training for the team at AS "Rīgas Siltums" in Riga. Over 120 employees joined—some in person, most online—for a 2-hour session focused on building a strong, authentic presence on LinkedIn.
We covered four key areas:
- Why LinkedIn matters and how the algorithm actually works
- Your personal profile—what to highlight, what to leave out
- Content and team engagement that supports employer branding
- Smart networking to grow your reach in a meaningful way
The group was curious, engaged, and full of thoughtful questions. We used discreet, interactive voting to create a safe space for feedback and reflection.
A few highlights:
- 30% of participants were inspired to join LinkedIn for the first time
- Active users walked away with fresh ideas they can apply right away
- There's already talk about a follow-up ambassador program
And as their Marketing Manager Jana Roze put it:
JRJana RozeMarketing Manager at AS "Rigas Siltums""Tava reputācija sākas ar tavu digitālo klātbūtni un profesionālo zīmolu LinkedIn platformā. Šodien mūsu darbinieki piedalījās iedvesmojošā LinkedIn apmācībā, kas veltīta profesionālās reputācijas un personīgā zīmola veidošanai."
It's moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. When employees feel confident showing up as themselves on LinkedIn, everyone wins—the individual, the team, and the company's reputation.
